Short Bio:
Marco Fanfani is a research fellow (RTD-a) at the Dept. of Information Engineering of the University of Florence. From 2012 he is part of the Computational Vision Group (CVG), and from 2021 is member of the DISIT Lab. His research activities focus on computer vision, SLAM, 3D reconstruction, AI, digital twin, IoT/IoE, and ontologies. He worked on the 
Thesaurus, and Arrows projects aimed at the development of intelligent vision systems for autonomous underwater vehicles (AUV), SUONO project aimed at the development of a smart ROV for underwater operations, MedifFor project for the development of tools for multimedia forensics, and TRAVIS project on historical image analysis. Now is working in the Spoke 9 of the Italian National Center for Sustainable Mobility (MOST - Centro Nazionale per la Mobilità Sostenibile), focusing on urban smart mobility and on the framework for Smart City Digital Twin construction embedded in the Snap4City platform (https://digitaltwin.snap4city.org/).
